Audio Visual (AV) Technology in Event Venues

The success of an event is highly dependant on audio and visual equipment because you could have the most epic and lifechanging presentation but if it can not be heard or seen by all attendees then the effect is diminished.

Audio Visual Solutions for Event Venues

IPTV

IP TV is a must-have for event venues not only for displaying key information about the venue and the event being hosted but also, for the additional advertisement opportunities for any exhibitors or event hosts.

IP TV allows you to do this by updating from your computer and pushing it out to one screen or multiple screens.

Wireless Presentation

Wireless Presentation applications allow you to share your presentations from any device for all compatible screens.

Some wireless presentation applications take it further by enabling you to use the application to display welcome screens with room scheduling, automate screens to turn on/off during working hours and schedule imagery and videos to play on loops.

In Event venues; it really enhances the professional feel if you can connect to a screen without a physical cable from your device to the screen. Wireless presentation apps are ideal for this. Also, the meeting room scheduling feature enables you to arrange bookings to ensure there is never a scheduling conflict.

Interactive Whiteboards

Your event may be one which involved seminars and interactive whiteboards are excellent to make seminar more engaging and also, to show a hands-on approach. They give you the ability to demonstrate examples by drawing out the concept, tweaking and then saving it so you can send it out.

You can even get interactive screens and whiteboards which aren’t fixed, meaning you can move them around to wherever you want to collaborate which would suit event venues.

Projectors and Projector Screen

You can get projectors which can be moved throughout your venue or alternatively, fixed to one location, which is ideal for those who use a certain area, regularly for presentations. When you need a projector, you are likely to need a projector screen which can also fixed or portable.

Should your venue be large-scale, you may want to consider a portable option for ease and if you have fixed seminars or training rooms with set layout options, then a more fixed solution would be best for space and convenience.

Should you opt for a fixed projector and screen; they can be hidden and motorised to release them when you need them, which enhances the space and cleaner feel.

Public Address (PA System) / Tannoy Systems

A Public Address system (PA system) allows communication across multiple departments / buildings at one time by using audio technology such as microphones, speakers and amplifiers.

If your venue is large-scale, a PA system would be advantageous for general announcements but also reuniting loved ones.

Speakers

Good speakers are exceptionally important if you are hosting an event because bad audio would certainly harm those evaluation scores. There are three main types of speakers; fixed bracket speakers, integrated ceiling speakers and freestanding speakers.

For venues that have large conference spaces, you would look at a more portable solution and fixed bracket speakers for smaller, fixed spaces.

AV Cabling

Most audio-visual needs cabling and as most know, not any cable will do. You need to have the right cable to ensure the AV solutions performs at its best. Also, you want to be confident that your audio-visual equipment will work but without seeing unsightly cabling. Only experienced cabling engineers can do this for you (like us!)
