What is Extension Lock?

Extension Lock is a phone system feature, which facilitates the use of unauthorised phone consumption. The extension lock phone feature works by entering a code, and unlocked by entering a password. When the extension lock is enabled on the phone, it is subject to call barring, potentially with restrictions in place for emergency or internal phone calls only.
