IP vs On Premise PBX?

What's best for your business?

There isn't really a right answer

One isn't better than another, but hopefully this handy guide can help you understand the differences.

Let's start with Hosted IP

Hosted IP is software based, typically on a virtual server and easier to maintain and upgrade.

The costs are generally around the purchase of the software and maintenance. Virtual servers’ costs are minimal and the ability to create more memory needed is simple.

On Premise PBX is a little different.

On-premise PBX has physical hardware and is usually placed on-site.

The costs come from equipment and maintenance. Typically, this solution is better for those with an I.T. person who can maintain/ upgrade it themselves.
