Locks and keys are a great way to ensure your building is secure. Until you lose the key, or a member of staff loses the key, or someone picks the lock and breaks in. Keys can also be stolen and copied. There are many positives to locks and keys, but it may be time to upgrade your buildings access!
All businesses whether small medium or large have assets, staff and property that need to be protected. There have been so many times that doors are left unlocked, which opens up the possibility of opportunist theft and malicious damage.
Enter, electronic access control! The most efficient and convenient way to secure your building and protect your assets.
Installing such a system will mean that you never have to change a lock or get a key cut again. Whether you choose a pin entry system or a token entry system will depend on your needs. When it comes to token access, should one of these tokens get lost or stolen, they can be easily barred preventing future use.
How does it work?
It is likely that you have come across such systems before, but for those of you who haven’t, a computerised handle or locking device is attached to doors of your choosing. These doors can either be fitted with the pin type device, a token type device or with a biometric entry system, think fingerprint recognition!
Once someone has gone through the door, it will automatically lock behind them so that anyone without the correct token or without the pin number is unable to enter. You are also able to set the doors to provide access at certain times of the day, yet restrict it at others.
Why choose access control?
Access control offers a secure, convenient, flexible and cost effective way of controlling who has access to your building, when that access is allowed and where. It provides an extra level of security that locks and keys just can’t.
